Habit
Acaulescent geophyte.

Leaves
Leaves simple, lamina 15-50 mm x 15-65 mm, ovate, apex rounded or obtuse, margin crenate. Densely hirsute with long glandular hairs. Petiole 14-80 mm, prostrate. Stipules subulate, adnate to petioles for half of their length, 10-14 mm.


Inflorescence
Branched, with 2-4(7) pseudo umbels, each with 7-26(30) flowers. Peduncle 3-9 cm, hirsute with glandular hairs interspersed with patent hairs, pedicel ~0.5 mm.


Sepals
5, lanceolate, 7-11 x 1-3 mm, reddish brown, posterior erect, others patent. Hypanthium 23-32 mm.

Petals
Petals 4 (sometimes 5), pale yellow to cream, posterior with red feather-like markings, ligulate to spathulate, 19-25 x 3-5.5 mm, anterior two narrowly spathulate, apices rounded, 9.5-17 x 2-3 mm.

Stamens
3 fertile, curved upwards, lateral 11-21.5 mm, anterior 20-32 mm. Filaments 8.
